Voyagers.io’s 2020 ITALIAN PALAZZO ADVENTURE: April 30 to May 3, 2020

[We have not yet opened booking for 2020, but you can express your interest by emailing david@voyagers.io]

On March 14 to 17 2019, Voyagers took 45 amazing people on an Italian Palazzo Adventure. We will return there on April 30 to May 3 2020. Based in a historic palace in Petritoli, Le Marche, we spent three intense days together truffle-hunting, mountain-biking, snow hiking, pasta-making, wine-sampling, clock-tower climbing, Werewolf-playing, speakeasy-embracing, town-square dancing, opera-house performing, storytelling and generally building a warm friendship group.

Participants attended from 14 countries, from Ecuador to Israel. They included human-rights activists, startup entrepreneurs, an actress, a product designer, a neuroscientist, a behavioural economist, venture capitalists, a chemical engineer, a government adviser, and a food historian.

Our formal schedule began on Thursday afternoon with welcoming drinks and canapés in the palazzo. We broke into groups for a village bar hop and wine-tasting, before returning to the palazzo for a gastronomic tasting buffet in the dining hall. After dinner we discovered the group’s hidden skills with a fast-paced talent contest in the local theatre. The palazzo speakeasy then opened and the late-night games sessions began.

Friday began with early-morning runs and yoga, and then after breakfast in the palazzo we enjoyed full-group hike with a storytelling difference. Friday activities included truffle-hunting, artisan butchery and pizza classes, and pottery lessons.

Saturday was for mountain adventuring through a range of challenging sports activities – high in the beautiful, mystical Sibillini Mountains of the Apennines. On Saturday night we took over a historic winery for a series of wine tastings and a candle-lit dinner. It was the most Roman moment of the weekend, so we dressed the part. And our final day, Sunday, included a stunning hike up Monte Conero before our farewell lunch on the coast.
